Abstract:

Objective To investigate the state of accommodation parameters on the different stage in juvenile myopia and evaluation the correlation between accommodation and juvenile myopia.Method 53 myopia students were divided into 3 group based on the following classification:onset myopes(n=14),progressing myopes(n=23),stable myopes(n=16). Accommodation parameters including accommodative amplitude, accommodative facility, accommodative convergence/accommodation (AC/A)ratio and positive and negative relative accommodation(PRA/NRA) were measured.Result:Accommodative amplitude of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P<0.05);Accommodative facility rate of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P<0.05);AC/A ratio of progressing myopia was lower than onset myopia and stable myopia(P<0.05);PRA of stable myopia was higher than onset myopia and progressing myopia(P<0.05);There was no significant difference in NRA. Conclusions:Accommodation parameters play an important role in juvenile myopia onset and progression.accommodation parameters exist significant difference on the different stages of myopia, probably predict the progression of myopia.
