Software Design and Implementation of Telecontrol Workstation in Substation
The thesis summarized the current status and the future of substation automation system and analyzed the structure of the communication networks in the substations. Also several communication models based on Ethernet were discussed. According to the features of communication networks for substation automation system as well as the experience of large substation automation systems in real development projects, this article proposed a new solution with internal Ethernet telecontrol workstation based on an embedded operating system. Futhermore, a detailed expatiation of software design and realization is given. The software model of the telecontrol workstation based on IEC61850 and some key technologies is also discussed.Telecontrol workstation is the key device of substation communication system, which is the interface between the substation and the control center. The thesis discussed the structure and the communication model of the substation communication networks based on Ethernet. The software design and realization was expatiated in detail based on the ARM9 platform and the WinCE.Net operation system. The telecontrol workstation software is designed in modules. The module exchanges the data through the real-time database. The database module is designed as a DLL(Dynamic Link Library). Other module used the API to visit the database. The communication modul used the APCI of IEC60870-5-104 and the ASDU of IEC60870-5-103. The IEC60870-5-103 running on the Ethernet was realized.IEC61850 has been the trend of the communication protocols in the substation. But it is not fit for the information transmission between the substation and the control center. Before the seamless communication system is built, there will be a long time that IEC61850 and the traditional protocols stay together. According to the object oriented idea and the design method of the telecontrol workstation based on the traditional protocols, the thesis showed a software model based on IEC61850. In the model, the internal communication protocol is IEC61850 and the telecontrol protocols are the traditional ones which are organized by the dot number. The thesis also discussed the convert methods between the IEC61850 and the traditional protocols and the communication mappings.
