Research on the Feasibility of Building Large Medical Equipments Check and Treat Center According to the Resource Sharing Principles
Objectives: Analyze the feasibility of building non-commercial large medical equipments check and treat centers. Discuss the operable management methods, and point out the correlative suggestions. Provide references on reasonable allocation and effectual utilization of large medical equipments. Methods: Analyze the datas of the distribution and utilization of large medical Equipments in Sichuan Province in 2003, including quantities, distributions, and structures of correlative staff, utilization results and the influencing factors. Investigate community residents, the patients who ever-used large medical equipments and hospital staff, to know the situation about large medical equipments utilization, contentment grade, attitudes towards establishing check and treat center and suggestions. By one case study on an examination hospital, summarize experiences, discuss the feasibility of establishing large medical equipments check and treat centers. Taking up time was 2.6 hours per device per day, so the taking up rate was just 18.0%.Results: 1.Each CT had 5.2 staff averagely; most of them hold a part-job in Sichuan province. The positive ratio of CT sampling results was 59.37%. 57.6% cases could help to make a final diagnosis in Sichuan province. There were 3.5 CTs per million people in average in Chengdu.2.53.2% surveryed hospital staff agreed setting up large medical equipments checkand treat center, and 68.7% patients who ever-used large medical equipmentsagreed it too.3.30.5% surveryed people had to transfer for treatment because of large medicalequipments check. 54.8% of them didn\’t choose the nearest hospital and theyattached more importance to the technique and condition of the hospital. Theaverage distance from the nearest hospital which had large medical equipmentswas 5.5 kilometres.4.62.5% surveyed hospital staff thought that it was not feasible to establish largemedical equipments check and treat center .83.8% surveyed hospital staff thoughtthat large medical equipments played an important role in the hospital.5.The isotope examination hospital set up cooperating net, which fell hospital costand avioded repeatedly construction in it\’s early days.But this mode was not asuccessful case.Many problems were exposed out,such as patient source andcosts.Conclusions: 1 .There were some problems such as overplus quantity, the inspectioneffect is not too much good, the redundant inspection, the induction demand,understaffed in the use of large medical equipment.It\’s necessary to buid check andtreat centers.2. The establishment of large medical equipment check and treat center is feasible inthe crowd\’s attitudes, the geography, and the social efficiency.3.There was certain difficulty in operation under the present medical competitionalenvironment to establish independent large medical equipment check and treat centerfrom the case of the isotope examination hospital. So strategy must be used in theprocess of the establishment of the large medical equipment check and treat centre.
