As the product of the combination of computer science and mould technology, Mould CAD/CAM is a key technique to promote the development of scientific research and the transformation of achievements, to realize the automation of design and manufacture, and to accelerate the development of the mould industry. It is also the important means to shorten the development period of new products, to promote the design level, to reduce the consumption, and to improve the productivity.Standardization is the essential condition to realize Mould CAD, and the standard library is the important component of Mould CAD. To establish such a library will play a vital role in improving the operational efficiency and quality of CAD system, and shortening the development period of products. This thesis mainly makes an intensive research on stamping mould and the relevant techniques of establishing the standard library of it.Putting the Pro/ENGINEER software that is generally used at home in Mould CAD/CAM, as the object of study, this thesis make a research on various interfaces of second development of it, and decide on the Pro/Toolkit as the implement, and compare the merits and weaknesses of two working patterns — synchronous mode and asynchronous mode of Pro/Toolkit. Using Visual C 6.0 as the development language, and with the help of database technology, the thesis develop the standard parts library of stamping mould.The system is such a standard part library of stamping mould that is based on C/S structure. As a result, it could make the resources of the standard units of stamping mould shared in the LAN of design department, and solve the problem of expanding the 3D standard library. This system develope a general program for the automatic generation of standard parts, which can apply to every kind of stamping mould. Meanwhile, combining with the parametric technology, and the SQL Language, the program could automatically add data chart of standard parts, realizing the expandability of the standard parts library.
