Hardware Design and Study of Tracking and Orientation System for Men under the Mine Based on RFID Technology

Abstract:

With the mature more and using widely of the RFID technology, and according to the safety situation that exits in the coalfield, it will be one valid way to solve the colliery safety problem with applying RFID technology to the mine for people\’s tracking and orientation, it is also the way to improve the supervisory level of safe production entirely, enhance the long system aiming at preventing disaster and searching and saving, it is the only way for producing safely.It recommends the hardware design of tracking and orientation system for men under the mine according to RFID technology in this paper. The entire system adopts RFID technology to collect data, and transmits information to the supervising and controlling computer on the ground by CAN bus, and computers are constituted to a network to realize the information sharing. Fix supervise station at important positions like at the entrance of the mine, laneway, the infalls of workplace, people who go to work under the mine must comply the rules and wear the aptotic motorcycle safety helmet that fixes the RFID tag in it. When people pass the eradiate antenna\’s work area, the RFID tag which is fixed in the motorcycle safety helmet enters is enabled and it starts to work, it transmits its own only ID code to supervise station by HF module in the tag, the supervise gets the information and automatically samples the time and the place of the people, it transmit the information to supervise computer on the ground by CAN bus, and finish functions of tracking and orientation.It introduces the hardware design of under ground network mainly, it includes the selection of transport pass and the hardware design of supervise station under ground, and the communication interface design between under and on ground. By test, this system totally could apply in the coalfield and realize the function of tracking and orientation.
