The Study of Wind Farm Environmental Effect of Po-yang Lake Area
As one of the most famous ecological wetland in the world there are many rare birds and other species inhabit in Po-yang Lake in Jiangxi Province. There are abundant wind energy resources at the north lakeshore and the wind farm is under going now. Therefore study on the infection of environment result from the construct of wind farm is significant. The capacity of the wind farm is about 931,000 kilowatt which can produce 207,000 million kW·h for the electricity net.It will save about 638,200 tons of coal equivalents and reduce 2020,000 tons of CO_2,11,500 tons of SO_2,41,800 tons of soot, 13,400 tons of NO_x emissions every year. Therefore the wind farm of Po-yang Lake can benefit the environment about 58,000 million Yuan annually based on the rate of 0.28 Yuan/kWh.According to the distribution of the migratory bird, the prime habitat is in the south area between Jishan—Songmenshan of Po-yang Lake while the wind farm is mostly located in the north of Po-yang Lake. There are still some superpositions of the programming of wind farm and protection zones at all levels. The constructs of wind farms in Zhaohu,Laoyemiao and Junshan lakeshore will occupy 187 km~2 ecological wetland, which will reduce the area of the birds habitat. And the operations of the wind turbines have an effect on the flying of the birds because they may knock into them. The construct and operation of the wind farm in Po-yang Lake will bring some negative effects to the ecological wetland, sight and environment.
